IMO, there's certainly a problem with going back to someone's college days and finding all the stupid shit they did while (likely) drunk after a round of tests and then discrediting them for it. If it was illegal (well, a felony), sure, but this is at the "merely tasteless" level at the end of the day. Who we are now is not who we were when we were 22 (unless that was very recently).

 

If they're as bad as they appeared then, there should be much more recent actual shit to discredit them. Which might be what's at play as noted in the post I originally replied to.
