I don't know why he didn't just say " There was no such wording as black face in the 80's. The concept of it being wrong didn't exist. Nobody saw it as offensive, even the black community. Dressing up as a famous black person was common . The KKK hood on the other hand was never acceptable under any circumstances. He must have been the one in the hood and thinks it can't be proven to give a press conference as ridiculous as this. He tried too hard to make it about the black face when there was nothing wrong perceived with it back then.
