We do agree anon. My reference should have been more clear. It's the abuse of capitalism - the exemptions on anti-trust etc. Closed door meetings to decide who can be an owner, or part owner…all I ask for is equal opportunity under the law (not to be confused with the nightmare doctrine of equal outcomes). Are we supposed to be impressed by the news that one of the wealthiest people on the planet just paid 238 million for a NY penthouse overlooking Central Park? I work and can't afford to see a doctor. A friend's wife was bitten by a spider and had an allergic reaction. They have no medical insurance. First two bills have arrived and it's over 10,000 already. Still waiting for others, including the two night/three day stay at the hospital. He figures it will touch 40k when it's all said and done.
A random spider bite and they're going to be dealing with a nightmare negotiating the bill.
