My family females are all members of the Eastern Star (Baltimore) and the men are all high degree Mason's in the Crownsville Temple that was attended by George Washington. My family on my mother's side goes back to the Mayflower and on my father's side, my heritage goes back to Scotland and to the John Adams family in Boston and King Carter of Virginia. My paternal grandmother was the last of the John Quincy Adams lineage. Her mother had all sisters, no men to carry on the lineage. My family is listed in historical ledgers in the National Archives. I live in Maryland and was raised in historic Annapolis around politics. My family is not evil but, true Christians.
I have my mother's Eastern Star pin and my father's Mason ring. After reading our huge old family bibles I noticed that my family only married people of Scnoottish, English, or Irish bloodlines. My Aunt married a man with her same last name.
Not all people are evil in these groups. I just turned down the family offer to join the Eastern Star and my husband snubbed my family to be accepted into the Mason's. We didn't think it would be a good fit for us. We had busy careers. The Rotary Club was all we felt comfortable with.
