There's no "there" there, at least not yet. Other than loose associations. Companies can get big, and can buy big facilities, and can diversify product lines. The fact that a chemical company also makes food additives should surprise us since we have known there are chemical additives in food for a long time.
Not saying any of these are "good," just that there's no evidence of any especially stand-out cabal activity.

Yeah, this is def enough circumstantial evidence to warrant continued digging. Wouldn't be at all surprised if you uncovered some connection to under-the-table deals with corrupt politicians or something.
But this is also just as possible. Like I said, big companies need big facilities, and will re-use structures rather than build just for expedience. Sometimes coincidences are just that. It's a pattern of things together that lead us to smoking gun evidence. Sometimes you find the gun, sometimes you don't.

Most don't know that the vast majority of these "hate crime" vandalism incidents are investigated by police and found have been hoaxed by the persons reporting the crime. Was a researcher for years. One of the hardest things to learn when starting out is how many leads don't pan out. It's why R&D is so expensive. All the dead-ends on the way to finally striking a vein. Grad students are usually given projects the lead investigator has a good idea WILL pan out, so they're able to write their first paper within the expected period and not tank their career before it gets off the ground. But real research is investigating unknown territory, and that's usually a lot of wandering and looking under bushes that yield no fruit.
