Jewish Team Owners in the National Football League (NFL)

Following US President Donald Trump’s comments about the disrespect shown by the NFL’s players – as well as some of team officials and even owners – to the American flag. I thought it would be educational to run the numbers concerning just how many NFL team owners – who ultimately have the power to stop such public displays of national disrespect if they so choose – are jewish.

The NFL’s teams and their owners are as follows:

Arizona Cardinals: Bill Bidwill

Atlanta Falcons: Arthur Blank

Baltimore Ravens: Steve Bisciotti

Buffalo Bills: Terrence Pegula and Kim Pegula

Carolina Panthers: Jerry Richardson

Chicago Bears: Virginia Halas McCaskey

Cincinnati Bengals: Mike Brown

Cleveland Browns: Jimmy Haslam

Dallas Cowboys: Jerry Jones

Denver Broncos: Pat Bowlen

Detroit Lions: Martha Firestone Ford

Green Bay Packers: Green Bay Packers Board of Directors

Houston Texans: Bob McNair

Indianapolis Colts: Jim Irsay

Jacksonville Jaguars: Shahid Khan

Kansas City Chiefs: Clark Hunt

Los Angeles Chargers: Alex Spanos

Los Angeles Rams: Stan Kroenke

Miami Dolphins: Stephen Ross

Minnesota Vikings: Alan Landis, David Mandelbaum, Leonard Wilf, Mark Wilf and Zygmunt ‘Zygi’ Wilf

New England Patriots: Robert Kraft

New Orleans Saints: Tom Benson

New York Giants: John Mara and Steve Tisch

New York Jets: Woody Johnson

Oakland Raiders: Mark Davis

Philadelphia Eagles: Jeffrey Lurie

Pittsburgh Steelers: the Rooney Family

San Francisco 49ers: John Edward ‘Jed’ York

Seattle Seahawks: Paul Allen

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Malcolm Glazer

Tennessee Titans: Amy Adams Strunk, Kenneth Adams Jr., Thomas Smith and Susie Adams Smith

Washington Redskins: Daniel Snyder

Of these 40 individual owners the following 13 are jews:

Arthur Blank (Atlanta Falcons) (1)

Jim Irsay (Indianapolis Colts) (2)

Stephen Ross (Miami Dolphins) (3)

David Mandelbaum (Minnesota Vikings) (4)

Leonard Wilf (Minnesota Vikings) (5)

Mark Wilf (Minnesota Vikings) (6)

Zygmunt ‘Zygi’ Wilf (Minnesota Vikings) (7)

Robert Kraft (New England Patriots) (8)

Steve Tisch (New York Giants) (9)

Mark Davis (Oakland Raiders) (10)

Jeffrey Lurie (Philadelphia Eagles) (11)

Malcolm Glazer (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) (12)

Daniel Snyder (Washington Redskins) (13)

So in other words 32.5 percent of NFL owners are jewish, which – given that jews represent but 3 percent of the US population – (14) is just shy of an 1100 percent overrepresentation. This is up from 10.5/11.5 percent in 2010. (15)

Compare that to Muslims – who are 1.1 percent of the US population – (16) and are represented by a single NFL owner (Shahid Khan of the Jacksonville Jaguars). (17) This is merely double their representation of the US population and even this may reasonably be discounted because of the fact that it is mere minimum of possible representation. Where-as jews overrepresentation cannot be disregarded as a statistical anomaly, but rather must be seen as a salient fact to be noted, especially considering jews have long been a highly political minority.
