Anon I am 41, and I too quit a nice career last year because my parents are in failing health and my brother had carried the load himself for far too long. I know what its's like to stretch to make ends meet while you have no income coming in. But you have a TON of living to do. You have to get out and make it happen. First of all you need to get outside (I know its difficult now in some areas) because sunshine and n ature WILL change your mood, replenish your reserves, and set your mind straight.
No one is going to do it for you. Us Gen Xers can have a tendency to desire isolatino and block out the world. Don't fall into that trap. Please anon, take the first step….if it means leaving us behind for a few more hours each day it will be the best thing for your long-term happiness.
