Question was why did he turn overnight? My theory was he was shown one picture, then the pictures were swapped. One picture has him with black guys and that can be explained away. Swapped picture has no black guys. He sees trap and gets help.
My guess he takes the body blows of the abortion stance in exchange for exoneration on racism picture. Keeps abortion on front burner and shows dirty tricks by someone.
GOP is better off with him staying where he is, IMO. Dems better off having him gone. Doing the math involves more than arithmetic in this one, though, so I'm not sure who's behind the blackface drop.
