They paid him $4m to his campaign, that's HUGE for a small state pact (I wouldn't be surprised if that came from PP originally). Northam was in line by the old Va boys network (you don't get anywhere in VA without them). And AG is apart of that old guard. He is supposed to be next in line after Northam for Governor.
