Hi digging-baker fren,

Not sure where you're hanging out …… have somthing to post which is sort of related to this. Didn't get as deep into TOVO as planned but got this thing sort of mapped out in my head that I just put into graphical form. Want to ask you if it looks right. Does everything originate with AET?

Now I am going to go post something that is related, I'll just post , easier than explaining.

NBC uses "Muh Russia" attack to savage Tulsi Gabbard; Glenn Greenwald counters with hard cold facts

New Knowledge has been in trouble since Dec. 19 for Alabama election meddling in the service of the false but persistent "Muh Russia" narrative (Trump colluded, Russian bots helped elect him, and conservatives on social media sound a lot like Russian bots). We've been talking about this on this board, wondering whether this narrative was dealt a fatal blow as the result of the NK scandal (see >>4986207 pb).

It didn't take long to find out the answer: No. (see eg, >>5022507 pb, >>4961799 pb)

PART I: new NBC story on Tulsi Gabbard as a Russian sympathizer

PART II: Glenn Greenward's expose on the NBC article

PART I: the NBC article

[1] Feb 2–NBC releases a new story: Russia's propaganda machine discovers 2020 Democratic candidate Tulsi Gabbard. First paragraph: "The Russian propaganda machine that tried to influence the 2016 U.S. election is now promoting the presidential aspirations of a controversial Hawaii Democrat who earlier this month declared her intention to run for president in 2020."

(Sounds like Putin thinks Gabbard is /their girl/–or at least, that's what NBC would like us to believe….)

[2] To support this claim, NBC cites "experts" Russian online propaganda starting with Clint Watts, who was quoted as saying that "Gabbard has past or present positions on several issues that would be attractive to the Russian propaganda machine."

(Hmmm….Watts is affiliated with the Alliance for Securing Democracy (ASD) and co-creator of the highly questionable algorithm Hamilton 68 along with Jonathon Morgan of New Knowledge.)

[3] Next experts: "Analysts at New Knowledge, the company the Senate Intelligence Committee used to track Russian activities in the 2016 election."

(Neglects to reveal their deceptive activities in Alabama and the ensuring scandal; see ).

[4] NK's Renee Diresta tells us there was "chatter" in "anonymous online message boards, including those known for fomenting right-wing troll campaigns [that] discussed Gabbard's usefulness."

[5] Where did this chatter occur? According to Renee Diresta, it was on 8chan, where Gabbard was discussed as a "good divider" candidate.

(For Keks, I did an Archive search and found a brief discussion around post >>4736414 pb: "Tulsi Gabbard running for POTUS is great news for Pres. Trump since she will divide the Dem Party/ like a Green Candidate would or like Bernie did." Congrats, anons, you didn't make notable but you did get noticed by New Knowledge–which apparently monitors this board.)

[6] NBC also informs us the "DisInfo 2018, part of the cybersecurity firm New Knowledge, found that 3 of the top 15 URLs shared by the 800 social media accounts affiliated with…Russian propaganda operations…were about Gabbard."

(Now we're into the realm of FULL BLOWN FANTASY–the MSM's "Muh Russia" BIG LIE. BTW, last I heard, the fake number was 600, not 800. Muh inflation??)

[7] Last, NBC refers to Josh Russell "a researcher and 'troll hunger' known for identifying fake accounts," who said he spotted clusters of "suspicious accounts" that retweeted very similar text about Gabbard (indicating fake bot accounts).

(Who the heck is he? Find out in Part II!)

NBC uses "Muh Russia" attack to savage Tulsi Gabbard; Glenn Greenwald counters with hard cold facts

PART II: Glenn Greenwald's reply

Glenn Greenwald wasn't impressed by the NBC article. Two days later, he issued his own article ripping their account to shreds.

https://theintercept.com/2019/02/03/nbc-news-to-claim-russia-supports-tulsi-gabbard-relies-on-firm-just-caught-fabricating-russia-data-for-the-democratic-party/

[1] After summarizing the NBC article, GG springs his bombshell:

What NBC — amazingly — concealed is a fact that reveals its article to be a journalistic fraud: That same firm, New Knowledge, was caught just six weeks ago engaging in a massive scam to create fictitious Russian troll accounts on Facebook and Twitter in order to claim that the Kremlin was working to defeat Democratic Senate nominee Doug Jones in Alabama. The New York Times, when exposing the scam, quoted a New Knowledge report that boasted of its fabrications: “We orchestrated an elaborate ‘false flag’ operation that planted the idea that the [Roy] Moore campaign was amplified on social media by a Russian botnet.'”

[2] GG then goes on to saying lots of damning things about CEO Jonathon Morgan's role in this "fraud." (But nothing we haven't heard before!)

[3] Next he tears apart Hamilton68, "the pseudo-data-driven dashboard" constantly used by U.S. media outlets to claim that its enemies are supported by the Kremlin." https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/miriamelder/stop-blaming-russian-bots-for-everything#.exyL46pow

https://theintercept.com/2017/07/17/with-new-d-c-policy-group-dems-continue-to-rehabilitate-and-unify-with-bush-era-neocons/

[4] In summary: "The playbook used by the axis of the Democratic Party, NBC,MSNBC, neocons, and the intelligence community has been, is, and will continue to be a very simple one: to smear any adversary of the establishment wing of the Democratic Party — whether on the left or the right — as a stooge or asset of the Kremlin."

(As for Josh Russell, he's an Indiana dad and amateur troll hunter” with a full-time job unrelated to Russia.)

———

''Amazing article, worth a read. When credible journalists like Greenwald dare to challenge the MSM heavyweights, it encourages everything else to do the same. And discourages MSM from fact-free "reports" against their enemies. TOP-KEK!''

Let me explain a little more. I post on this stuff a lot and am looking not just at the articles but at the themes that run thru different articles to see what they signify is terms of DS patterns and strategies. I'm looking at the relationships and whether certain arguments are present or absent. Is there someone like Glenn Greenwald around to give a counterargument or do the DS just get to state lies and partial truths without rebuttal. In this case, the fact that a rebuttal exists is critical; may make a huge difference in determining what they do next. Greenwald is a critical author because he wrote the definitive piece on the Alliance for Securing Democracy, which is a power player when it comes to the "Muh Russia" narrative. They are one of the main drivers trying to get the American people to look at Russia, not China.

BTW, if you look hard, you might see that at the top of my post, I said I was reposting for purposes of discussion or something like that. Because there are people here interested in that discussion.

Does that explain the re-post?

Went looking for stuff comparing TDIP with PQG because something doesn't look right to me. You already saw the website.

Ok, ran across this on our friend Adam Kaufmann. The article below is all about him….hmmm…maybe I'll post it, too long to copy. Seems like I would have seen it and may be you have but what the heck….

https://dailycaller.com/2018/12/12/democracy-integrity-trump-fusion/

MEET THE BOARD OF THE FUSION GPS-LINKED GROUP INVESTIGATING TRUMP

It's clear from this article that virtually everyone considers Kaufmann crooked:

“Adam Kaufmann personifies the polar opposite of transparency and integrity,” Halvorssen told TheDCNF. “The very idea that Adam Kaufmann is involved in any project that has the word ‘integrity’ means that the project is stillborn and has no credibility.”

Also, check out the paragraph towards the end where Jones talks about receiving $50mil. Perfectly ambiguous as to what org might have received it:

"Jones, who also operates a consulting firm called Penn Quarter Group, told the FBI that he hired Fusion GPS and Steele with the goal of “exposing foreign influence in Western elections.

"He claimed he had received $50 million in funding from a consortium of between seven and 10 wealthy philanthropists."

Who receives the money? Jones, TDIP or PQG? Can we tell?

There's a lot of stuff here on Kaufman's involvement in Venezuela, investing in power companies, sounds like. Probably totally corrupt.

Then there's the idea that TDIP's purpose is to dirty Trump's name one way or the other. (Seems like there are countless individuals and orgs working on that. Mind-boggling.)

Here's the cap. Useful for you or anyone who doesn't have it. Also underlined key stuff to make it easier to access. That might be a value-add even if you have the article, I hope so.

Fast-forward a month to the DC report for Jan. This is where they bring in how TDIP works with NK on Disinfo2018.com and a little on Alfa Band and Trump (vague allegations).

But check out this passage:

"TDIP has maintained a lower profile than New Knowledge. Most of what’s known about the group has been revealed only through Adam Waldman, an attorney who had contact with the organization in 2017. Information that Jones, the TDIP founder, provided to the FBI was also released in an April 27, 2018, House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence report.

"Jones, who registered TDIP on Jan. 31, 2017, told the FBI in late March 2017 his organization had hired Fusion GPS and Steele, a former MI6 officer, to continue investigations into Russian meddling in the U.S. elections that began with funding from the DNC and Clinton campaign. Jones also told the FBI the project had received $50 million in funding from between seven and 10 wealthy liberal donors.

"IRS records suggest TDIP did not receive all of that funding at once. Information from the nonprofit’s tax filings show the group received $9 million in 2017."

https://dailycaller.com/2019/01/10/fusion-gps-russia-false-flag/

Here it looks like only TDIP is getting the money (unless BOTH groups are getting the same amount).

Can't wait for this month's update with ambiguous and dated info. KEK.

Want Deception? No Problem!

What the heck, I went back in time to Oct 2018. Another perfectly ambiguous passage:

"The lawyer, Adam Waldman, told The Daily Caller News Foundation that he met with Jones in March 2017 to discuss the Democracy Integrity Project’s investigation of Trump. Waldman said that Jones told him that a group of wealthy Democrats, including Soros, was funding the Democracy Integrity Project. Jones also said that his group was working closely with Fusion GPS, which was founded by former Wall Street Journal reporter Glenn Simpson and two colleagues.

"Business magnate George Soros arrives to speak at the Open Russia Club in London,

BJones also suggested to Waldman that his operation was behind various anti-Trump stories planted at various media outlets.

The House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence revealed in April that Jones described his efforts to the FBI in late March 2017.

“In late March 2017, Jones met with FBI regarding PQG, which he described as ‘exposing foreign influence in Western election,'” reads the committee’s report, referring to Jones’ consulting firm Penn Quarter Group.

Jones told the FBI that his operation was “funded by 7 to 10 wealthy donors located primarily in New York and California, who provided approximately $50 million.”

https://dailycaller.com/2018/10/31/george-soros-fusion-gps-trump-funding/

And yes if you go back to April (freebeacon), the article says that it's PQG that hired Stelle and FusionGPS.–and mentions the 1-10 wealthy donors. Not one word about TDIP.

https://freebeacon.com/politics/democratic-donors-paid-50-million-new-anti-trump-research/

Daily Caller–same story: only PQG is mentioned, the donors and the $50mil.

Of course you know this article; your last night's post.

https://dailycaller.com/2018/04/27/donors-50-million-steele-fusion-gps/

I guess this is why they called it the Deep State. Everything is buried! LMAO.

By tomorrow I should be able to fill in at least some info on the groups involved in the Alabama affair. They are also secretive but not as bad as the WASH DC groups.

Two articles are worth reading, I will report more on them tomorrow night but here are the cites for anyone who is interested:

I will get everything that I can so we'll have Alabama mapped out. There are some interesting things that I think will emerge, will say more tomorrow, depending.

one question

if you have time

I assume there is no way to create live links to the archive on a graphic. Is that true? But if there IS a way, I'd like to know it. We could place the live links on a graphic.

Yes, a lot like the "hot buns."

Food for thought.

Is there any other dig like this? Half my time, I'm trying to keep the info organized, both physically and mentally.

One of the problems is that, in order to communicate it to others, you have to do it in different ways at different times, pinpointing the key ideas as you go. You and I both post different versions of the same info as our vision changes. But to the casual looker, it looks the same–like it's already been posted. People sort of remember seeing it. It is not "news." So what it is??

Complex diggs reveal things that discrete articles do not. But you tend to leave a lot of people in the dust (eg, clock fags for those of us who do not understand how that approach works).

But it's very interesting and useful, too. Example: AET is beginning to look like the powerhouse in the Alabama "branch" of the network. Maybe. Where he gets his orders, I wonder.. You have him connected to the WH–Obama's WH? Where now?

Interestingly, NK seems to be at the center of many nodes, but doesn't seem to be very high up on the totem pole. If things go down, they will go down first; loos what happened after Alabama.
