Beginning in Genesis chpt 2 we learn when and what the sabbath is. Six days of creation, and on the seventh day God rested. We are instructed, “Six days shall ye do work and the seventh shall be a day of rest.” So the sabbath is a day we rest from doing the work of our own works (man’s hands) and do the works of God. That’s where the healing occurs. In the gospel of John, when Jesus healed on the sabbath, he fulfilled the scripture in Genesis 2.
It’s worth noting, if we want to get healed we must first get heeled. Gen 3:15, the carnal mind must be put under foot (our walk in Christ) and be crushed.
