Probably the silliest line in the whole movie (which I still consider my all-time

favorite, btw). Think about it, he's telling Neo there's too much information to

decode it, then he immediately proceeds to tell Neo that you automatically

decodes it in your head.

At least one of the accounts on twatter I follow swears Q is AI. I don't buy it.

If you spend any time studying AI's successes, the first thing you'll notice is that

they are very narrowly scoped. Like, you can write an algorithm that's really good

at running bot behavior in a video game, or one that can figure out who you are

from your writing, but never all of the things that make us human, not even

close. What Q is doing seems much too broadly scoped.

Better, but the difference in what they have isn't exponentially greater.

And not just exponentially. You'd need something that could pass a Turing

test. Hasn't happened yet. You can always trick them. There's a lot of

anons in here that can tell you how the bots behave. You have to guess that

at least some of them are more advanced than the average anon has

access to.

It doesn't seem like that within AFSPC. They're moving right along and the

guy I work for (an LtC) makes it sound like the push is coming from above,

not below. Just an impression, and my group is pretty small comparatively.
