I have friends from Romania & Lithuania; the latter was raised in a refugee camp for 10 years. The former was religious but lucky enough to be young (escaped the horrible persecution suffered by her uncle).
Re "beating communism":
Maybe it depends where you're from. Do you live in Poland?
When the Wall fell, I knew we had not beaten communism in the US because so many people were still longing for a "equality". So immediately after that, the Green Party came along and sold people on the idea that we had to give up everything we cared about to "save the planet".

A philosophy based on envy is hard to completely defeat. But now people are really seeing more what it is in Venezuela (and also what it is in the Dem party). So we will defeat it. WWG1WGA.

Totally agree. It's a threat–and well-deserved, at that. They are both arrogant and terrified. They're really go the best-defense-is-a-strong-offense thing down to a tee, tho. Come on like they're gonna run you over. GOP never seems to realize that it's a bluff. Trump does, tho. He's patient for many reasons. But not forever. Neither are the patriots.

I read something recently that talked about the role of Poland in WWII as freedom fighters. Wow. Poland has a lot to be proud of.

One thing I've run across in digging on the groups affiliated with the Marshall fund (and Alabama election fraud) is that all these groups are anti-Russian. One of them, The Democracy Integrity Project (TDIP) has a lawyer on its board, Adam Kaufmann I think who has a lot of dealings (and maybe holdings) in Venezuela. He's also crooked, so it's going to be all about exploitation. The discussion is in #5023256, notable.

do you meaning the funding for TDIP? They've got Soros funding, no problemo. He's got some kind of side deal in Venezuela, I think, but I just saw it for the first time two days ago.
