Has anyone asked why The Speaker didn’t gavel in the proceedings as normally occurs? Always The POTUS walks in to a standing O, looks around, shakes it in, shakes the hands of the VP and Speaker and after the applause dies down the Speaker bangs the Gavel and introduces POTUS again to another standing O. This didn’t happen last night. Curious!
