Solar is tech we have real access to now. My parents put panels on their house years ago and it works great, their electric bill looks much different now and no repairs have been needed so far. Inefficeint? Well, compare it to the wiring and fixed cost that the current power infrastucture required, not to mention the added costs of maintenance and additions as the cities grow. I'm going solar a.s.a.p. on my house as soon as I get other priorites taken care of. Seems like a good way to go now… I'm not gonna wait on some tech Tesla dreamed of.
Well my dad is excellent at crunching numbers… careers in high level management and then private contractor. He wouldn't add anything to his home unless it made sense/cents. It may be an expensive initial investment, but I'm sure it works out in the long run.
