Google parent company looking to partner on opioid rehab campus in Ohio

Google parent company Alphabet is partnering with a local health care provider in Ohio to back a treatment facility for those affected by the opioid epidemic.

Verily, an experimental health care spin-off from Alphabet, said in a blog post on Wednesday that it will help launch OneFifteen in Dayton, Ohio. The facility will take a tech-focused approach to treating individuals with substance-abuse disorders.

"OneFifteen, and its team of community partners, will strive to provide treatments that offer sustained recovery and a path forward to the many who are fighting to manage their addiction," Verily said in a blog post.

Ohio is among the states most affected by the opioid crisis, ranking in the top five for states in terms of opioid-related deaths, the Chicago Tribune reported.

The facility will start seeing patients this spring, the Tribune reported, while a full campus is expected to be completed in 2020.

Verily will partner with Samaritan Behavioral Health on the project, as well as Kettering Health Network, the Tribune reported.

The opioid treatment facility marks the latest foray into health services for Google's parent company. Verily undertook an effort last year to eradicate mosquito-borne diseases around the world, starting with Fresno, Calif.

The "White Hat" statement was completely worth the expense.

Also, what do we know about "Co", womenswear label founded in 2011 by Stephanie Danan and Justin Kern?

Was this a message beyond the White Hat dress?

Meet the Republican Who Could Take over Virginia in Doomsday Scenario for Democrats

Virginia Speaker of the House of Delegates Kirk Cox could become the first Republican governor in nearly a decade if Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam, Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax, and Attorney General Mark Herring resign amidst their political scandals.

In January 2018, the Virginia House of Delegates unanimously elected Cox to serve as the Speaker of Virginia’s lower chamber. Kirk became the first Speaker in Virginian history from Colonial Heights and the first Speaker from Chesterfield County since the 1800s, as well as the first Speaker who was a public school teacher.

Before serving as Speaker, Cox was the Majority Leader from 2010 to 2018 and served as Majority Whip before then.

During his 2017 campaign, Cox emphasized creating Virginia jobs, reducing unnecessary government spending, promoting Virginia public education, and increasing the affordability of higher education.

Cox made headlines last week when he delivered a dramatic Virginia House floor speech, citing the Bible in his vow to fight against Democrats’ push for late-term abortions.
