I don't think the elaborate monologue and standing ovation was actually about the 2 Pardoned Ex -convicts.

It was a message. Trump was directing it to all the cabal members, who may or may not be 'guilty' of their own hands - Blackmail etc.

He basically said " You can 'get out of prison/the cabal grip, we will protect you, just flip and leave the cabal, give us the names and evidence. You will be safe."
