"That number absolutely crushes me, that number absolutely overwhelmes me, that number keeps me up at night….Gosh, do you realize, we're made in the very image of God…..We are no accident…:

How about a baby? Week 4: the 2 optic nerves are forming and so is the lens, Week 8: [the] retina…is forming; Week 16: the eye picks up light, Week 26…that eye is fully formed…."

With the miracle of modern medicine, at 22 weeks, we now have a 20% survival rate. What a blessing!…Where will that be in 5 years, 10 years, 20 years?"

[Then speaks gravely of reading about the new NY abortion law]. "The article said, 'Activists cheered!' Words have meaning….So what does this have to do with Virginia?….Gov. Northam vowed…to enact [the bill allowing abortion in women showing signs of labor] if Democrats take the Va house and Senate in the Nov elections…

I vowed in 1990 to do everything I could to save the unborn and protect life. Frankly my record's been spotty at best. This speech only begins the true fulfillment of that promise to myself" …..
