People say that about every cult you can think of. The liberals that people here like to disparage say that liberalism is the one true religion. Qultists say Q is the light and the way and trust his plan regardless of failed predictions.
The party of the people? The Party doesn't care about the people apart from wanting their obedience.

I study cults. Their methods, the terminlogy, their leaders. Their followers. The first thing that surprises people to find out is that failed predictions by cult leaders actually strengthens the belief of hardcore Qultists even as it drives away others. The remaining Qultists rationalize the failures themselves and this act because it comes from themselves becomes an emotional investment in the Qult.

A narrative that plays on peoples emotions. It doesn't have to be cohesive. In fact it's better if it's not. Cognitive dissonance keeps people's minds distracted just like a swinging watch in hypnosis.
