Yes it is gross.
However, at the higher levels, an understanding of ENERGY/spirit and, to keep it simple, 'magic', is likely the component you fail to grasp.
And it is THAT (missing) aspect which makes the 'attraction' to the ENERGY/spirit of CHILDREN confusing, nonsensical, 'weird' or 'crazy'.
