I think Schiff is pulling this shit so that he can claim retaliation if Trump does anything.
So, to counter that, what I think will happen is that Trump's guys will tee up other dems one at a time, like Warren yesterday, until the dems themselves hang Schiff out to dry. Once Schiff shows he doesn't give a fuck about them while he's trying to save his own ass the dems will self police.
Better optics that way.
