EXCLUSIVE: Jeffrey Epstein is seen for the first time in THREE YEARS with bevy of women at his Manhattan mansion as Justice Department investigates his plea deal after he was accused of sexually abusing at least 40 teen girls

Disgraced millionaire Jeffrey Epstein has been photographed for the first time since April 2016 in exclusive DailyMail.com photos

The 66-year-old was seen leaving his Manhattan townhouse for a haircut on Saturday, after arriving back home from a trip to Paris

Epstein looked ragged with unkempt hair, worn-out, initialed sweatpants, a white T-shirt, a monogrammed sweater with an over-sized parka jacket

Over the course of a few days, at least three women were seen coming and going from his mansion

The last time Epstein was photographed was in New York in April 2016, with two young women hanging on his arms

The sighting comes as the Justice Department opened up an investigation into a plea deal the politically connected Florida financier took in 2008

He had reached a deal with then-Miami U.S. Attorney Alexander Acosta's office, who agreed to secretly end a federal sex abuse probe involving at least 40 teens

He could have received life in prison, but instead pleaded guilty to state charges, spent 13 months in jail, paid settlements and is a registered sex offender

Millionaire Jeffrey Epstein has been spotted for the first time in nearly three years at his luxe Manhattan townhouse, pictured in DailyMail.com exclusive photos.

The sighting comes as the Justice Department opened up an investigation into a plea deal the politically connected Florida financier took in 2008, which potentially spared him life in prison after he was accused of sexually abusing at least 40 teen girls.

The 66-year-old was seen leaving his Madison Avenue mansion for a haircut on Saturday, after arriving back home from a trip to Paris.

Epstein looked unkempt with tousled hair, worn-out, baggy, initialed sweatpants, a white T-shirt, a monogrammed jacket with an over-sized parka on top.

Over the course of a few days, at least three women were seen coming and going from his mansion, some making multiple visits.

Epstein arrived back from France in his Bentley on January 30 shortly before 2pm. Two days later, he ventured outside to head to Mete Turkman for a haircut.

The last time Epstein was photographed was in New York in April 2016, with two young women hanging on his arms.

The department's Office of Professional Responsibility wrote in a letter on Wednesday to U.S. Senator Ben Sasse, R-Nebraska that it would examine whether professional misconduct occurred in the highly publicized case of Epstein.

The letter cited a series of recent articles by the Miami Herald that focused new attention on how the deal came about.

Sasse, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee who has twice asked the Justice Department to investigate the case, welcomed the news.

'Jeffrey Epstein is a child rapist and there's not a single mom or dad in America who shouldn't be horrified by the fact that he received a pathetically soft sentence,' Sasse said in an email.

'The victims of Epstein's child sex trafficking ring deserve this investigation - and so do the American people and members of law enforcement who work to put these kinds of monsters behind bars.'

Epstein reached a nonprosecution deal in 2008 with then-Miami U.S. Attorney Alexander Acosta's office to secretly end a federal sex abuse investigation involving at least 40 teenage girls that could have landed him behind bars for life.

First lady Melania Trump on Thursday held her first official events since the government shutdown ended and focused on an anti-drug, anti-opioid message that makes up her Be Best campaign.

She began her morning rallying youth who work to keep drugs out of their communities and then received a briefing from government officials on the efforts being made to combat drug trafficking and programs to help counter addiction.

Anti-opioid work has been a central tenant of her Be Best campaign and the first lady said when the president of Colombia comes to the White House next week, she will speak to the first lady of Colombia about the drug problem.

'I will have a plan to talk to her about the crisis of opioids,' Melania Trump said during her briefing with officials.

But the first lady started her day with a warm welcome from an auditorium of 500 teenagers, who gave her a standing ovation when she arrived at her first Be Best event of 2019.

The first lady thanked them and congratulated the youth on making a difference in their communities.

'What you are learning in these workshops are vital tools that will help make a difference in our nation and our world. You are our greatest agents for change. Through your voices, you have the power to influence, transform, and lead your communities from within. You can lead by example every day among your peers, your friends, your classmates, and your teammates,' she told them.

The first lady was addressing the Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA) National Leadership Forum, a four day leadership program that teaches youth leadership skills to help influence their peers and communities.
