This fire at the Harbor Bar in my hometown of Watertown, SD happened yesterday morning during a blizzard at windchills of -40.
The Harbor Bar has been closed for years, and was just sitting there. The owners of the building were just using the basement to house their belongings apparently. And that's where the fire started.
The Harbor Bar at one time had the longest bar in the United States, also it was a well known "must stop" for bikers across the country. Fights were always happening there, and it had been known for quite a few deaths.
The most famous of which shook the MMA sports world when the local MMA Club instructor killed a man. The city immediately banned the entire sport from Watertown, which lead to quite a debate in town and across the country on what sports should be considered "legal", especially when the incident happened separate from the MMA event and at a local bar.

Anyway, this bar holds a lot of memories (both good and bad) in my hometown.
I just feel it suspicious as this fire had started during the heaviest snowfall of a blizzard, AND that the building wasn't making any money for the owners as they could not keep a business running there anymore and nobody wanted to buy it.
The reasoning:
The building was old, and after all the years of housing the Harbor Bar, the wooden floors were soaked with vomit, bodily fluids, blood, and urine. The stench still lingered even years after the bar had closed. They tried putting another bar in the building, and that's the reasoning why it didn't succeed…the stench!
