That's selling AOC short, in my estimation.
The woman is blisteringly intelligent, and I don't have too many questions about her moral alignment. I am fairly certain she is a good person.
She is stating nothing that isn't "fact" in the world of democrats, and is taking them to task. If their research and claims about climate change are true - then why are they dragging their feet about actually getting something done?
I'm not seeing anything "unreasonable" from her in the sense that she represents the logical conclusion of what my generation was taught as a matter of fact. Fossil fuels were going to run out in our lifetime, capitalism has failed and concentrated wealth, etc. So, if these things are true - then why are we not addressing them?
I am sure there are people around AOC who will try to ride in her wake - and the larger democrat party is going to try and flip her staff. "AOC is bright, but temporary, come to the comforts of the party."
Even if AOC is not "ours" - she is certainly not "theirs" and is someone I see as being reasonable. Whether she will agree or disagree over what method is used to address the problems we face is not as important as the fact she is certainly against and aware of the current problems.
Women's suffrage is a good thing, even if the democrats have made a mockery of it. We will ultimately see where she lines up, though, as things unfold. I would be surprised if she ends up in the "cabal" territory, but would not be surprised if many around her are looking to bury the cabal's knife in her back, either.
I for one, prefer the likes of Bernie and AOC to McCaskill and Biden. Assuming my understanding of their characters is accurate.
