Great job baker. You're off to a great start. All these minor hiccups are expected, we all made them. It's just cuz nerves and unfamiliarity with the routine. Once the unfamiliar becomes familiar the nerves are replaced w/refinement of your game.

If you wanna ask any follow up questions of me here or in /comms/ just lemme know. For instance, that getting up with captchas and baked threads being delayed in showing up in the catalog, all those things happen and we all have different ways to deal with them.

That's how you do it. Glad to hear you'll be back.

Fantastic, look forward to your help Anon.

Any other Aspring Bakers lurking?

It's breddy common to get 2 or 3 new bakers starting at the same time. Same happened with me. Cuz watching someone else try breaks the ice, gives you confidence. "Learn to Bake" how-to materials are at the top of every bread, the last thing before baker posts new dough pastebin links. Have a look through 'em and if you have any questions, fire away. I'll be here another half hour or so.

>opinionated and judgemental.

Dude, if you only knew which baker you were talking to rn. Suffice to say, I relate kek.

>didnt want to mess with the operation

That's the right attitude. You know how it is in life, it's about right time, right place. When we're Anon, we can be shit-post as much as we like, but when we Bake, we try to adapt our style to fit the office. You find that balance btwn being yourself and honoring the role. Plenty of other opinionated/judgmental anons here (we're autists amirite?) to keep you in check if you need it. You can't upset the operation, we are the operation.

Blanket answer is just baker earlier, especially when starting out, cuz nerves. The more time you leave yourself the easier it is to think.

>Now I know what the nut cases mean when they say 'literally shaking'!

I know right?! I always wait too long to bake STILL, cuz I always wanna grab that last thing…oh and wait, also THIS thing…

Another practice I personally like is to bake (create the new thread) in Index rather than Catalog, since the catalog sometimes breaks or possibly lags longer than Index. I just use a CTRL-F "q research" to find new bread that way. Sometimes it gets hung up on 100% and you have to refresh, just as in catalog. Finally, browsers can get weird come bake time. I keep an extra Notepad (or Word) window open for "scratch paper." Opening a new browser window (not just a tab, a whole window) can sometimes stop the flood errors, and closing/reopening browser entirely (with easy copypasta of link in scratch paper) is sometimes needed. Not always, but sometimes. The closer you are to end of bread, the more these things are problems – I sometimes think it's bc anons refresh catalog again and again wanting to be first in new bread, but I'd like to hope not, since that's retarded.

Rubric for Notables Selection

These were made/posted a few months ago by a baker who was systems designer/SOP developer IRL.

Not official, bakers can use or ignore at will, but just here if it helps.
