Iceland was the subject of a Clancy book, but it was the Russians that took control of it. After they did, they had Europe by the short hairs; shipping was decimated.
I was stationed their 76-77. Iceland has only one major port. The Chinese pull one of their "I'll cancel your debt for your port" deals it would give them unprecedent control of shipping lanes. Just what they are trying to do in the China sea. THIS is alarming and NOTABLE AF!
