How did Al Ma'mun enter The Great Pyramid?
Was the original "hidden" door opened by him/someone familiar with it?

The "Robber's Tunnel" was clearly made from the inside out… but how did they enter in the first place?
Did they enter from beneath the Pyramids?
Assuming that Al Ma'mun was there seeking treasure… the little things could go down the well shaft if that's how they accessed the interior, or back through the original tunnel used to get around the casing, which could have been dug due to to entering from the subterranean chamber or the original entrance.
But let's also consider that stuff was put in there as the pyramid was being built.
Stuff that was never meant to fit through the exiting passages, thus the plugs.

What did they remove that wouldn't fit through the "descending passage"?
