Jerusalem means teaching of peace.

New Jerusalem is the new teaching of peace.

Jesus said the kingdom of heaven was like leaven/teaching.

He said you can';t put new wine in old wine skins.

They got rid of the leaven in the house before Passover as a symbol of putting aside the old teaching in preparation for the new teaching of peace (the cross)

His kingdom is spread by teaching and preaching.

Jesus said "You have heard it said…but I say" as he ushered in the new teaching of peace.

Literalists think The New Kingdom of Peace (The New Jerusalem) is a Borg space ship. Jesus said he taught in parables and riddles so they would not understand until the time after the cross. Some never went back to understand the riddles, parables and metaphor of scripture choosing to believe in childish comic book versions.

Re 1:1 ¶ The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified [it] by his angel unto his servant John:

Re 1:1 ¶ The Revelation of Jesus Christ, - it's about Jesus and the cross.

which God gave unto him, - given to Jesus. Not John. John is not mentioned yet, the pronoun cannot refer to him. It was given to Jesus before the cross, since he had to learn who he was.

to shew unto his servants = He was always teaching his disciples about the cross.

things which must shortly come to pass; - the cross.

and he sent and signified [it] by his angel unto his servant John: - The disciples didn't understand, and forgot what he taught, so at the time of the cross they were dicouraged. He sent the Holy Spirit to them to remind them of what they had been taught. John remembered and wrote the book.

The devil has no power. Simply resist and he flees: Jas 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

You are not tempted by the devil but by your own heart. Jas 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

The great evil in the world is caused by unrestrained hedonism.

The book is like a Rosetta stone telling about the cross using the riddle and metaphor used throughout the rest of the Bible (sensus plenior). Use it to decode the Bible so that it all speaks of Jesus and the cross. It is the key to understanding the sermon on the road to Emmaus.

Stop parroting teachers descended from the Catholic tradition.

Yeah reconcile rather than ignore.

Jas 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

The devil can throw down a $10 bill. One guy doen't even look at it. The next considers picking it up. The last steals it. It is the same $10 bill but it your heart hat tempts you.

Your stoopid Greek conditioning cannot allow for apparent contradictions that are obviously two sides of the same issue.

Jesus is the Only Begotten Son of God, and the Unbegotten Only Son of God. You stoopid Greeks (descended from Catholic hermeneutics) will argue the point rather than reconcile.

He is both the First son, and the usurping Second Son. Again you wish to argue rather than reconcile.

These are not contradictions. Reconcile.

You parrot the stoopid traditions of men rather than correlate and reconcile.

Jas 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. ←- see ? No power!!! reconcile rather than toss James out of the Bible.

Run in fear, run and hide. Spread your oil, sprinkle your water, wave your holy handkerchiefs . Perform your rituals to cast out demons. Slap their foreheads. Put them on buses to Denver. I have seen it all. All stupidity based in your wicked desire for superpowers over demons.

But when people simply resist, they have victory. It is your own flesh that tempts you. your own hedonism. Your own lust to be God and determine good and evil for yourself rather than acknowledge God alone as God.

This is the enmity of the carnal mind.

Joe and George both feed the poor. Joe does it because he thinks it is a good thing to do. George does it because God says it is a good thing to do. Joe is in sin, because he has made himself to be a God. he has determined good and evil for himself and usurped God/'s position. This is why our own works are as filthy rags. Because they our OUR works and not God's.

Good and evil are not forces which are equal an opposite. That is paganism. God does not submit to the power of Good. He is he very definition of good. If you do things that happen to agree with God, but you do them because you have made yourself to be a God, then you are still an enemy of God.

When you act instinctively, choosing good and evil for yourself without even thinking about it, you have made your self to be God. The carnal mind, the instinctive mind, is at war with God.

Reconcile. All the devil can do is throw down the $10 bill. It is your wicked heart that tempts you. Stop blaming the devil.

I never said there wasn't a devil. Reconcile. rather than create a strawman. I have not contradicted a single verse you quoted. You have invented the contradiction with your Greek rhetorical invention by pitting James against the others. Reconcile them.

Stoopid Greeks would rather argue than understand. They would rather pit scripture against scripture rather than reconcile them.

Your Greek philosophy, debate, rhetoric, logic and mythology do not serve you well.

'Devil made me do it… devil made me do it… waaaaa!!" Grow up. Your carnal mind is an enemy of God. Stop making excuses and blaming the devil. Grow up and man up.

1Co 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God [is] faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear [it].

No excuse to blame the devil. Your cartoon Christianity with it's powerful devil is nothing but paganism.

And again you use scripture to contradict scripture. I did not ignore Satan. I put him in his proper place. He can throw down the $10 bill. He can affect the circumstances that tug at your rotten heart.

Paul was afflicted in the flesh, but resisted the temptation.

Stop your silly Greek rhetoric. Stop inventing and projecting. Stop ignoring scripture… reconcile it to understand.

You mock James, not me. You ignore James, not me. And by doing so you mock and ignore God.

The devil can only tempt by throwing down the circumstances. It is the temptation of your own heart that causes you to sin.

You intentionally ignore the fact that I do not deny there is a Satan. You intentionally ignore James in favor of your doctrinal imposition.

A true doctrine reconciles and sums up all that is said. It does not just isolate and preach the parts that you love to use to excuse yourself.

You can say that I am an idiot because the devil made me do it. But I say it is your feet held to the fire. God is the judge.
