Pelosi Insists VA Blackface, MeToo Scandals Won’t Hurt ‘National Democratic Brand’

In recent weeks, embattled Virginia Governor Ralph Northam (D) admitted that he had put on blackface while he was a medical student, Attorney General Mark Herring (D) revealed that he also put on blackface while he was a college student at the University of Virginia.

Meanwhile, a California professor accused Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax (D) of sexual assault, alleging that Fairfax forced her to perform oral sex during the 2004 Democratic National Convention. And on Friday, a day after Pelosi insisted that these scandals will not harm national Democrats, another woman, Meredith Watson, alleged that Fairfax raped her while they were students at Duke University.

When Pelosi was asked if the scandals will hurt the “national Democratic brand,” she replied, “No, it does not.”

National Democrats who are banking on defeating Trump in 2020 by doubling down on the politics of race and MeToo walked into a trap when nearly all of them jumped into Virginia’s politics and called on Northam to resign. When scandals then engulfed Fairfax and Herring, many national Democrats started dodging questions, unable to say they would not get involved in Virginia’s politics days after nearly all of them jumped in to condemn Northam.

Last week, Northam apologized for appearing in either blackface or a KKK hood in a photo on his yearbook page before promptly denying the next day that he was in the photo. Northam did reveal, though, that he had put black shoe polish on his face to look like Michael Jackson for a dance contest in Texas.

VA democrat apologizes for anti Semitic statements. What are the anti Semitic haters in congress getting the sane exposure and treatment?

Sorry if this has been posted already but I’ve got two theories on what’s going on in VA with these exposures:

1. It seems like all of these exposures were known for a long time and timed to come out in succession, it may seem like a good thing, and maybe it is but

2. Who’s doing this? We already know students are spying at people and their past at universities, even though this might be solely democratsroght now, maybe it was set up to look like that so the next is gonna major republicans politicians. Some of the current exposures are rather silly, blackface back them was not shocking but their being huddled by the hyper emotional SJ that’s been ingrained in everyone now. I think it would be fine to expose politicians regardless of party if they have really some serious allegations crimes, but lumping everyone into an unusually high standard of SJ could be meant to destroy state governments etc. I have more thoughts, but what are yours?

Are dems using these people as Trojan horses for a much broader plan of destruction?
