Interesting SCOTUS related question… as of now Republicans hold senate -which ultimately choses to confirm or rebuff all new SCOTUS nominations, yes… So anyone nominated by POTUS these days who passes background checks COULD get confirmed by quiet security committee and then whole senate floor votes theoretically?

If that's the case… and with RBG missing in action and showing no truly credible proof of life I keep seeing two connected theories/speculations about the situation floating around…1) that she is dead/incapacitated right now and that her clerks are possibly writing her verdicts for her (hence the shoddy proof of life word of mouth when a vid would immediately squash the question, and 2) POTUS already knows but it either helpless to act because of the backlash of bad optics or may be running an ongoing sting to make sure anyone who attempts it is jailed.

My question is…could BOTH be true…for 'the movie…' IE could he already have a resignation/death certificate for RBG tucked away at present the MSM doesn't know about. AND a secretly confirmed nominee writing their own responses to ongoing cases that can come out to uphold or flip rulings when/if those usurping a SCOTUS seat are caught red handed?

Because after all yes there's unchallenged national tradition regarding the SCOTUS and also yes MODERN TRADITION at least says that all supreme court nominees must be made public…that the debate in the senate over a nominee must be broadcast before a candidate is chosen…

But tradition is not the same thing as law. And it'd be a hell of a slight of hand?

Any lawfags available to weigh in on the possibility? I am a novice researcher not an expert in such matter of jurisprudence…
