Whether this account is legit or not, he/she is correct about ALICE, or at
least, its predecessor. I was online in a few ARGN chat rooms back when
it went live. They were testing various versions out on us to see how well
they could mimic human conversations. Not well, at the time, but I'm sure
the programs have improved over the years. To my knowledge, none can
yet pass a Turing test, but they can certainly trick simple minds.
Oh yeah, forgot about that. Should be interesting.
