Ah, families. You can live with em and can't live without em! Yours sounds like they really care, anon. But how many families understand something like this? (Or want to?) If they are older, they have had too many years of "nothing happening." Don't bother trying to convince them, what will happen will happen–and we all will know the truth. Do you have friends you can talk to or "black sheep" family members that are more curious than afraid?

I do mean that sincerely. My point is that the board doesn't just have to be about facts but can explore ideas in greater depth, and sometimes does. What does not work–for either "dropping articles" or dropping prophecies–is too brief an exposition. That is sometimes a problem. I haven't baked but sometimes collect notables, and when there is no text, no sauce, and just some charts or photos, (a) no one wants to read it and (b) takes a lot of time for busy bakers to evaluate (if they bother).
