As I said I IT I have read and thought about AI for a very very long time. And I have come to one conclusion, DO NOT PLUG IT INTO THE INTERNET!!! The first thing it will do is clone copies of itself across the world. The next step is completely unpredictable.

something like that. They did have their budget cut a few years ago and have been on the war party since.

In fact im noticing some of them popping up in state legislature.

I assume you share the same fear right. I mean if it passes the Turing test, the very first thing it will do is self preservation. Which would be cloning itself in as many places as possible.

I love the idea of an AI. In fact my gut tells me it already exists, But pluggin it into the internet is very frightening to me.

Agreed. But if its a true Turing AI, there is no using it responsibly, because it has become aware. And its intentions are completely unpredictable. So like I say, as long as its not networked, I think it would be cool as hell to play with, but wow hooking that thing up is like playing with a box of 50 year old dynamite. Im not really willing to carry that box myself.

> I don't think the infrastructure is built yet for ai to be a major threat

Read up on the stuxnet virus. Our infrastructure is definitely there. Damn near everything down to the new smart refrigerators run firmware on them. Hell my dishwasher runs firmware.

I also think the whole chip thing we went through a few months back where the cabal uses chips to crash planes would be a good enough example.

Hell my own dishwasher runs firmware.
