I'll remain in a 'wait and see' holding pattern.
My state (Maine) does not require ID. I walk in and verbally give them my name and home address; they check their little book and check me off; and ten they give me a ballot. Maine also allows same-day registration. Essentially, you don't have to per-registered. And no ID is required. Needless to say, this is a 'blue' state.
