TY Baker!!
the rebukes are about SUPPLEMENTS, not alzheimer DRUGS.
IMO as medicalanon, this is Gotliebs backdoor way of regulating more herbal/plant products, ESPECIALLY KRATOM.
FDA and DEA have had a hard-on for scheduling KRATOM (a plant that is in the coffee plant family) since a BIG PHARMA company has PATENTED several compounds from the plant. One of the common uses of Kratom is for pain mangement. It is a natural alternative to opiates, can help people get off opiates and can manage their pain. DEA/FDA continuously claim 10-15 "kratom-related" deaths over the past 10 years, as their rationale for wanting to schedule as SCHEDULE I (similar to heroin, meth, etc).
For point of reference, TYLENOL has a direct relationship 150 deaths PER YEAR and this drug is over-the-counter….so, NO not buying the "safety" bs.
I don't trust GOTLIEB at all.
From the article sited on wsau.com, most likely the "alzheimers" reference is to products like Prevagen made from jelly fish that is marketed to improve cognition.
LESS GOV'T CONTROL, NOT MORE!!!!!!
