A necessary path but I hope that researchers have the wisdom to contain AI to closed networks and never allow an AI to pull the trigger. Somebody will do it. I only pray that we can only program intelligence and not wisdom because with wisdom comes strategy and if they gain strategy and have the trigger, we are done. I hope it doesn't happen in my lifetime.
