Reflecting on my time in UKIP, I have come to the conclusion that Farage did everything he could to lose the 2015 election. All he did was give the deep state ammunition, making it hard for us activists to get candidates elected, let alone getting people to stand. Something I nearly did, I didn't want the flak for views which were not my own.
