Oh hai!
The National Emergency / Border Security development is an interesting one.
Rand Paul voted against it. He's the son of Ron Paul, and I expected nothing different. They are Libertarians to the core. And he has a point to be made. It has the potential to erode checks and balances.
Congress has, however, shirked its responsibility time and time again. Balance has already been eroded. We talk about the 3 branches of gov't all the time, but we forget what consitutes gov't: we do. And this isn't another 4-year election. The goal is to return power to the people, and "whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government."
We're in for a big ride folks. Stay the course.
