No the earth is not flat. Have you ever flown on a commercial airplane flight? I always wanted the window seat so I could look out. And those windows (they're flat, no fishbowl effect on the ground) show you a sort of spherical earth.

Then watch the video from the SpaceX launches as it goes up to 100 miles or so, and the earth becomes more obviously spherical.

And on the ground why is there a horizon?

If the earth were flat, wouldn't there be an edge? Wouldn't we have people exploriing the other side, or drill thru to the other side?

And why would it be flat? How would a flat surface be formed by natural processes in space? A sphere is formed because stuff gathers around the center, pulled in by gravity. A flat thing? How would that even occur?

You're right to question things, but I hope you'll also consider the scientific proofs above. If you're still suspecting flat earth, please try to refute them. People much smarter than me could not refute them.

No they're not refuted. One guy thought the earth looked curved from an airplane because the windows are curved. No they're not as I mention. For example.

Agree. You may not like Kushner's face, but have you ever heard him speak? Very reasonable, sober and convincing.

And Ivanka is brilliant at saying the right simple thing, just enough, not too much. This does not mean you have to like all their policy positions, but I really think DJT is running the show policy wise.

No it won't. If it did, you could see all ships everywhere with a good enough telescope on the ground, or at least much farther away until the light was diffused by the atmosphere, several hundred miles. But you can't.

Let me remind the board that the biggest thing going on right now in the world has no obvious connection to Trump.

It's Xi Jinping trying to make himself the second coming of Mao Zedong, by removing his term limit. If this works, which it's assumed it will since he's stacked the National People's Congress with his allies and purged his enemies with charges of corruption, nothing stops him from being China's leader for life. And he's a devoted communist. He reminds Chinese of Mao Zedong. They are legit. afraid of another cultural revolution there.

GITMO "cleaned out"? Where are they sending the former guests? Obama wanted them out (so he could close it) but Congress wouldn't agree.

I am worried if they're "cleaning it out", next could come closing it.

Hm, well it does make sense, Congress didn't say they have to stay at Gitmo, just that they have to stay locked up.

But I hadn't seen any crumbs about cleaning out Gitmo, where did that come from?

My only issue with this is that historically Russia and NK have been aligned. The Soviet Union installed the Kim regime. There's a highway bridge between the two countries.
