The PA Dutch, though Christian can marry Orthodox Jews because it it believed they are genetic Jews. And Yiddish … doh.. why would anyone speak Jewish if they were not Jews. The genealogies trace back to at least 1200 AD.

The family tradition is that they came to Eastern Germany when Jerusalem was destroyed.

It would be interesting to see what genetics say… but then we've been told not to trust testing labs.
