Jewish grandmother takes her young grandson to the ocean for the first time. As the little boy is playing in the surf, a giant wave rises out of nowhere and sweeps him out to sea.
She immediately screams toward the heavens, “Wasn’t it good enough for you that I attended temple every single Saturday? Wasn’t it enough for you that I scrimped and saved to tithe you the 10% you wanted? Wasn’t it…”
Just then, a deep, booming voice rains down from above: “Stop your whining. Here…”
At that same moment a second wave sweeps in and deposits the little boy back on the beach. Unharmed and unfazed, he immediately begins playing as if nothing had happened.
“There! Are you satisfied now”, God asks.
“Well… he HAD a hat.”
