Border Patrol Council President: Congress Ignored Experts on the Wall

National Border Patrol Council president Brandon Judd told Breitbart News Tonight on Wednesday that Congress had ignored the advice of experts when reaching a deal to provide less than $1.4 billion for border fencing.

The Council, the union representing “approximately 18,000 Border Patrol Agents and support personnel assigned to the U.S. Border Patrol,” has consistently supported President Donald Trump’s proposals for physical barriers on the U.S.-Mexico border.

Trump Demands Gavin Newsom Return $3.5 Billion for Canceled Bullet Train; Newsom: It’s ‘California’s Money’ Now

President Donald Trump demanded Wednesday evening that the State of California return $3.5 billion in federal funds after Gov. Gavin Newsom canceled most of the state’s high-speed rail project, saying it was too expensive.

“California has been forced to cancel the massive bullet train project after having spent and wasted many billions of dollars,” the president tweeted. “They owe the Federal Government three and a half billion dollars. We want that money back now. Whole project is a “green” disaster!”

GOP/Dem Deal: Less Detention of Illegal Aliens, Expanded Catch and Release

A Republican-Democrat spending bill being offered to President Trump provides less detention space for border crossers and illegal aliens while expanding the Catch and Release program.

The spending package provides the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency with less detention space to house border crossers and illegal aliens, funding about 40,250 beds rather than the 52,000 beds that Trump had requested. This is about the same level of detention space that is currently funded and that which ICE officials have said is not sufficient.

Due to the massive number of illegal aliens in the U.S. — around 12 to 22 million — and roughly 1,300 new border crossers coming to the country every day, ICE officials have had to routinely exceed this 40,250 bed limit.

This has caused the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to release thousands of illegal aliens into the interior of the country. In the first two weeks of January, DHS officials released about 2,000 border crossers into the U.S. due to the lack of detention space, a glimpse into what Catch and Release will continue to be should Trump sign off on the GOP-Democrat spending bill.

Donald Trump Mocks ‘Poor Little Angel’ Andrew McCabe

President Donald Trump ridiculed Andrew McCabe Thursday, as the former FBI Acting Director is promoting his new book in a series of interviews.

“Disgraced FBI Acting Director Andrew McCabe pretends to be a ‘poor little Angel’ when in fact he was a big part of the Crooked Hillary Scandal & the Russia Hoax – a puppet for Leakin’ James Comey,” Trump wrote on Twitter.

The president reminded Americans of the “devastating” Inspector General report on McCabe and that his wife ran for office as a Democrat with funding from former Clinton fundraiser Terry MacAulliffe.

“He gave Hillary a pass,” Trump said, referring to the FBI email investigation. “McCabe is a disgrace to the FBI and a disgrace to our Country.”

Catholic priests in Venezuela took to the streets on Tuesday to demonstrate against Nicolás Maduro’s socialist dictatorship joining millions of Venezuelans rallying for Maduro to allow interim President Juan Guaidó to govern.

Catholic leaders marched through the streets of Barquisimeto wearing their ecclesiastical garb to show their support for wider anti-Maduro activism taking across the country.

Jussie Smollett Changes His Story Again

In previous versions of the story, Smollett a) didn’t mention the MAGA comment (in his first interview with police, 40 minutes later) and b), in a TMZ story based on sources “directly connected to Jussie” said the attackers yelled “This is MAGA country” (no n-word) not at the outset of the attack but as they were leaving. That TMZ story also claimed Smollett had suffered a “fractured” rib. Smollett now says he suffered merely a “bruised” rib.
