=="The man who said that it was not possible to fool all the public all of the time was
fortunately quite ignorant of the methods of modern banking."==
From Dr. Frederick Soddy's book "The Inversion of Science" (1924)
Dr. Frederick Soddy was the scientist who first proved the existence of radioactive "isotopes" through nuclear "transmutation."
full excerpt:

"Properly used the marvelous inventions and discoveries of the past two centuries should have inaugurated an Age of Plenty and abolished for ever the Age of Poverty… The dread powers of nature which science has in harness, are being used not to build up a civilization worthy of our intellectual and material greatness, but, with the enthusiasm reminiscent of a lunatic asylum, to destroy and wreck it.
No romancer has ever had the hardihood to portray the actual situation of the industrialized nations at the present time–knowing well how to produce everything needed for a full and abundant life but condemning an ever increasing proportion of their populations to hunger and misery through lack of gold. The man who said that it was not possible to fool all the public all of the time was fortunately quite ignorant of the methods of modern banking."

Some books are just so hard to find these days and this is certainly one of them!
Soddy’s early unpublished lectures on "Alchemy and Chemistry" are also very difficult to locate.
hmmm, I wonder why?
If someone happens to locate either of these, please post links. thx
