DECLAS is something I thought of as a possibility as well. DECLAS brings down the House, which is where this bill originated. I'm not a lawfag by any means, but I can't help but wonder if the House going down would affect this and other legislation they've drafted because of what DECLAS would reveal. Would it void the bill if the lawmakers who drafted it were revealed to have committed crimes that disqualified them from holding office before the bill was created?

'Coerced' is probably the word I would use. 'Forced' comes to mind as well. Who knows though, desperation and fear make people act very, very irrationally. Maybe admitting that kind of thing was the least bad of the many possible bad endings as far as he could tell.
