I actually argued with a public school teacher about this. Her point was that some parents would hurt or kill their kid if they came home pregnant so it was for their safety.
I told her my kid doesn't get ANY surgery without MY permission, whether it's wisdom teeth or an abortion, it's SURGERY.
And that if kids' parents are that dangerous, abortion really isn't the solution.
You can't legislate shitty parenting.
