From the TigerDroppings Q Thread:
>>A few days ago I called the National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington DC. Due to bad weather in DC it delayed their opening. I looked over their website and checked their calendar of events and the Concert was not shown. I did note they rent out rooms for private events. I had a thought,…maybe it was private due to her niece or daughter or some relative doing the performance.
Frankly, I forgot to follow up with NMWA until this morning.
I just called the National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington DC 202-783-5000 and asked if there was an event held on Feb 4th called the Notorious RBG in Music. The lady that answered the phone replied it did not show in her calendar, but "…had the event been privately booked, she, nor any other person at the NMWA would know. That's because it's private."
I said, I do not think the event was private because a newspaper article noted that a Philly High School group was in attendance. (There was a pregnant pause.) Then I got the statement again about private bookings/events and they wouldn't know.
Take it for what it is worth.
I say the event didn't happen and RBG is still on ice. I may have to retract that, but this is the horse I'm betting on.
