I suspect a combination of things. A large amount of influential people are rattled, fearful, terrified, and in general not happy with events that are happening right now, and they are trying to figure out some evil, underhanded way of escaping an inevitable fate. The negative entities those people serve are equally if not more displeased and angry that their plans are going tits-up and they have no way to stop it. The growing number of politically-savvy Americans are in a rage; either upset that Trump is intending to sign a funding bill that is obviously garbage, or that he's 'unlawfully' declaring a national emergency. Add all that negative-weight on top of the general negative malaise that has encompassed this world for so long…
You could almost say that it feels like a storm is coming.
