I have another story regarding Kevin Spacey.
I was told by a friend/coworker, who has been in the entertainment industry for awhile. (Had a music video on MTV/used to be a “B” list artist in the past, is also a member of SAG) that he had a friend who was trying to make his way into acting.
This friend had earned a few roles doing broadway style productions. And also acted in a few of these productions with Kevin Spacey.
Apparently one night, Kevin Spacey had asked this person out to drinks one night, and tried to seduce him. But he was met with denial, and Kevin Spacey sought it out as a challenge.
The following months/years after this denial, every time this actor would try and audition for a role, Kevin Spacey would show up and talk to the producers and convince them that this person was terrible, and not worthy of the role.
After a year or so of this, after the actor couldn’t get any work, decided to go into the culinary arts, and has had great success.
He has stated that the reason that Spacey had won awards for American Beauty was because he was essentially playing himself in the movie(not hard to act out), except swap the girl out for a young boy. And that movie was exactly how he acted behind the scenes.
Everyone thought he was crazy until these stories started coming out recently.
Just wanted to share the story.
