CLEVELAND, Ohio — Warrants reveal new information regarding what agents from the FBI and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation seized when the office of Cuyahoga County Executive Armond Budish was raided Thursday morning.
A search warrant provided to News 5 states authorities raided Budish's office looking for criminal evidence of extortion, intimidation, obstructing official business, tampering with records and civil rights violations.
One piece of evidence authorities were after were files pertaining to the privatization of the Cuyahoga County Jail medical services, according to the inventory list.
The warrant also included any files relating to criminal investigations involving deaths or assaults in the Cuyahoga County Jail. Eight inmates died last year while incarcerated in the jail.
