By signing this bill, he's winning the optics game for normies, he looks like he's being reasonable compromising, the democrats have lost all credibility by giving something that's "immoral" in their own words, which is putting moderates on his side because he's willing to be pragmatic, and it's disenfranchising radicals because to them the democrats just caved on the wall, we just need to get conservatives to keep the faith and stay strong.
